Serwaa Amihere ESQ has built one of the most impressive dual careers in Ghanaian media and law. Born on March 8, 1990, the GHOne TV news anchor and presenter is widely recognised for her polished delivery, professionalism and ability to balance high-profile broadcasting with a growing legal practice.
She began her media journey as a producer on the award-winning current affairs programme
State of Affairs, hosted by Nana Aba Anamoah. From there she rose steadily at GHOne TV,
becoming a prominent face of the station. She anchors news bulletins and hosts the morning
show GH Today as well as the weekend sports and lifestyle programme Cheers.
Her on-screen presence and consistency earned her multiple Radio and Television Personality
(RTP) Awards, including Best TV Female Newscaster of the Year on several occasions. In early
2026 she added another honour when she was named TV Female Presenter of the Year at the
15th GoldBond RTP Awards.
Parallel to her broadcasting success, Amihere pursued legal education with determination. After
studying Banking and Finance at Methodist University College, she obtained a Bachelor of Laws
degree with Second-Class Upper Honours from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public
Administration (GIMPA).
She then enrolled at the Ghana School of Law and was called to the Bar in October 2025,
becoming a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana.
Since qualification she has actively practised. She made her first High Court appearance shortly
after being called, later moved an application before the Supreme Court, and has taken part in
international arbitration work. In mid-2026 she was also selected to support a Supreme Court
judicial outreach marking the court’s 150th anniversary.
Colleagues and observers have noted her commitment to learning the profession properly while
continuing her media work.
Beyond the studio and courtroom, Amihere is an entrepreneur and philanthropist. She co-
founded the fashion brand Office and Co by SA, which specialises in corporate wear for women,
and runs Oh My Hair / Oh My Nails.
Through the Serwaa Amihere Foundation she supports education, healthcare and empowerment
initiatives, particularly for women and young people.
She is a mother of one daughter and maintains a relatively private personal life while remaining
active on social media and at public events. Brand ambassadorships, including for AMOR
Contraceptive and Flora Tissues, have further expanded her commercial footprint.
Amihere’s path reflects careful planning and resilience. She balanced demanding television
schedules with years of law lectures, examinations and private study. Supporters often cite her as
an example of how Ghanaian women can successfully combine multiple high-level professions.
Critics and fans alike watch her closely as she continues to appear both on screen and in legal
attire.
At 36, Serwaa Amihere stands as one of Ghana’s most visible multi-hyphenate professionals.
Her work in news, sports presenting, fashion and now the law demonstrates that excellence in
one field need not limit ambition in another. As she continues to take on new cases and maintain
her television presence, her influence across media and the legal community is likely to grow
further.
